Medical schools that did not apply for accreditation

7 institutions on the ministry's list of 34 did not take part in the 2026 assessment. Under the Cabinet rule of August 2026, an institution without state accreditation cannot admit new medical students. Some of these are large state universities whose medical faculties are small or dormant; others are private institutes whose current activity is unclear.

Common questions

Can an institution that did not apply still teach medicine?

It cannot admit new medical students: the Cabinet's rule of August 2026 bars admissions without state accreditation, and these seven were not assessed in the May 2026 round. Some are general universities with a medical faculty; their other faculties are not affected by the medical rule.

Why did these seven not apply?

The ministry's list says only that they did not take part within the deadline; no institution has published a reason. This site records what is published and does not guess. If a school sends us its explanation with a document, we post it here.

Is not applying the same as failing?

No. A failed school was assessed and found short of the standard; a school that did not apply was not assessed at all. The practical result for a new applicant is the same in 2026-27: neither may enrol medical students. The difference matters for current students, because the transfer orders of August and September 2026 name the failed schools, not these seven.

Why this is different from failing

A school that did not apply was not assessed, so there is no finding against it. But the practical result for a new student is the same: it cannot enrol you in medicine for 2026-27. Where a school on this list is advertised by an agent, ask for the ministry accreditation certificate before anything else.
