How this site is made
Every page is generated from one data file, schools.json, which you can download. Each field in it has a source, and each school has a "last verified" date. This page explains where each field comes from, what we do when a figure is missing, and what we refuse to do.
Where each field comes from
| Field | Source | How we treat it |
|---|---|---|
| The list of 34 | Ministry of Health list of medical education organisations assessed in 2026 (12 state, 22 private) | We cover every institution on it, including those that failed or did not apply. Nothing is removed from the site. |
| State accreditation 2026 | Ministry results of 29 May 2026, published 4 Jun 2026; Embassy of India advisory of 8 Jun 2026 with programmes | Shown on a fixed five-step scale: 6 years, exempt, 1 year, failed, did not apply. Never summarised as "approved". |
| Can take new students | Cabinet rule of August 2026; licence suspensions from 7 Sep 2026; Order 912 of 3 Aug 2026 | "Yes" only for six-year and exempt schools. One-year schools are "yes, with a 2027 review". Failed and non-applicants are "no". |
| Fees | The university's own fee page or tariff where one exists (four schools); otherwise agent websites or news reports | Official figures are labelled "Official figure". Anything else is labelled an estimate with its source type. "Not published" means exactly that. USD amounts can be shown in INR, PKR or BDT at a mid-market rate dated on the page; som amounts are not converted. |
| Exam results (FMGE) | NBEMS institution-wise reports for 2024, June 2025 and December 2025, read from copies whose Kyrgyz rows sum to the official totals | Counts only, per session, with a link to the report. Never a pass rate, a ranking or a chart. Sessions under 30 candidates carry a note. Rows rebuilt from a text extraction are marked until checked against the NBEMS PDF. |
| International accreditation | IAAR and AAEPO registries, the two agencies for Kyrgyzstan recognised by the World Federation for Medical Education | Shown as agency, programme and validity dates. Expired entries stay on the page, labelled "expired, kept for the record". |
| WDOMS, ECFMG and Canada notes | World Directory of Medical Schools, searched by name and alternate names; the Sponsor Notes tab of each entry read on 14 Oct 2026 | "Yes" means an ECFMG note was found, with its graduation years. The Canada Sponsor Note is recorded separately with the date it was read. "Not found" means not found by search, which is not proof of absence. |
| Hostel | University pages first; agent figures only when nothing official exists; our own visits | Shown as labelled fields. Anything seen on a visit is labelled "Seen on visit, month year" and kept apart from what the university states. Unknown fields are listed as "not yet confirmed" rather than guessed. |
| Contact details | The university's own website or the government portal only | Offices, never named individuals. Each entry has the page it came from and a date. Numbers that appear only on agent sites, social media or in messages to students are not recorded. |
| Photos | Our own photographs; until then, freely licensed Wikimedia Commons images | Own photos are labelled with the month taken. Placeholders are labelled as such with photographer and licence. No images are taken from university or agent websites. |
| Home-country rules | NMC regulations and Embassy of India advisories; PM&DC public notices; Bangladesh pending | Kept in one rules file per country and applied to every school the same way. We never write "NMC approved", because the NMC publishes no such list. |
Update schedule
Every school is rechecked at least every 90 days; each page shows its last verified date and the date of the next scheduled check. The data set was last generated on 13 Oct 2026; the next scheduled check is 11 Jan 2027. A ministry, embassy, PM&DC, IAAR, AAEPO or WDOMS change triggers a check sooner. Each change to the data is recorded in the changelog with its date.
Corrections
Anyone, including a university, can send evidence to corrections@kyrgyzstanmedicalschools.com or through the form on For universities. We check it against the primary source, change the data if the evidence holds, and post the outcome in the changelog either way. Where a status is negative, that offer is printed on the page itself.
Sponsorship rule
Payment never changes the data. At the moment nothing on the site is sponsored. If sponsored placements are added later, they will be marked "Sponsored", kept apart from the data fields, and limited to schools that can enrol students. A sponsor cannot change, hide or reorder any figure, and cannot remove a negative status.
What we do not do
- No rankings by opinion. Lists are sorted by data, and exam results are never used to sort.
- No owners, founders or agents are named, and we make no ownership claims about any institution.
- No enquiry forms, no commissions, no applications through this site.
- No reviews or testimonials, because we cannot verify who wrote them.
- No photographs taken from university or agent websites.
The status scale
- Accredited for 6 years
- Passed the Ministry of Health's state accreditation for the full six-year term. 4 of 34 in 2026.
- Exempt
- A state university that the law does not subject to state accreditation. It can enrol new students. 3 of 34 in 2026.
- Accredited for 1 year
- Passed with conditions, for one year only. The school is assessed again in 2027. 7 of 34 in 2026.
- Failed
- Did not pass state accreditation in May 2026. Licences were suspended from 7 September 2026 and students were transferred under Order 912. 13 of 34 in 2026.
- Did not apply
- Did not take part in the 2026 state accreditation. Under the Cabinet rule of August 2026 it cannot admit new medical students. 7 of 34 in 2026.
Known gaps
- Official fees are published only by KSMA, Manas, Osh State (currency not printed on the tariff) and IHSM.
- FMGE figures come from copies of the NBEMS institution-wise reports. The June 2025 rows for some schools were rebuilt from a text extraction and are marked on the page until checked against the NBEMS PDF.
- WDOMS entries were found for 20 of 34 schools. "Not found" means not found by search.
- Contact details and most hostel fields are taken from university websites and marked as awaiting confirmation with the office or a visit.
- Rules for Bangladesh come from the BM&DC Act 2010 and its Second Schedule, read in full, and from the Council's notices as indexed and press reports quoting the Council, because the Council's website sits behind a bot check; the Bangladesh hub says which is which.
