State accreditation · decided 29 May 2026
Seven of the 34 institutions hold full accreditation for 2026-27: 4 passed the Ministry of Health's state accreditation for the full six years, and 3 are state universities that the law does not subject to accreditation at all. Seven more can take new students on a one-year term reassessed in 2027; the rest failed or did not apply.
These four passed the full assessment in May 2026. The result was published on 4 Jun 2026 and confirmed programme by programme by the Embassy of India on 8 Jun 2026. A six-year term runs to 2032.

Osh State University, International Medical Faculty

International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK), International School of Medicine

International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM)

Asian International University named after S. Tentishev (formerly Asian Medical Institute, ASMI)
Three state universities were not assessed because the law does not require it of them. The exemption is a legal status, not a quality grade, so read the fees, the exam results and the international accreditation on each page as you would for any other school.

I.K. Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA)

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU), Medical Faculty

Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, Faculty of Medicine
The Ministry of Health accredited institutions programme by programme. A tick means that programme is in the 29 May 2026 decision for that school; a blank means it is not. General Medicine runs as a 5-year and a 6-year track, and a school may hold one or both. Check that the track on your offer letter is one that is ticked here.

This site does not rank schools, because no ranking in this niche names a verifiable basis. What can be compared is on each school page and on the compare pages: the 2026 accreditation term and the programmes it covers, fees with their source, FMGE counts by session, teaching language, hostel, WDOMS and ECFMG status, and the admissions contact. Seven schools can enrol without conditions in 2026-27: the four accredited for six years and the three exempt by law, all listed above.
Any list of ten in 2026 has to include schools that cannot take you: only seven institutions can enrol without conditions, and seven more hold a one-year term with a reassessment in 2027. A top-ten list on an agent's site is a sales page. Start from the seven here, then open the compare pages.
The National Medical Commission publishes no list of approved foreign universities, so the phrase has no official meaning for KSMA or any other school. What matters is whether the course meets the NMC's 2021 regulations and whether the graduate passes the FMGE. KSMA is exempt from state accreditation by law as a state academy; its page shows its FMGE counts, fees and recognition.
After the Ministry of Health's decision of 29 May 2026: 4 accredited for six years, 3 exempt by law, 7 accredited for one year, 13 failed and 7 did not apply, out of 34 institutions that train doctors. The programme-by-programme table above shows what each accredited school may teach.
State accreditation is the Kyrgyz ministry's own check of the institution. It is separate from international accreditation by IAAR or AAEPO, from the World Directory of Medical Schools, and from the rules of your home country's regulator. A school can hold all four, or only some. The country box on each school page shows which of them matter for India, Pakistan or Bangladesh.
